If you’re using the blogspot platform, you must have seen the latest pretty themes introduced by Blogger on your dashboard. The new themes are named
Contempo, Notable, Soho and Emporio with each having 5 different designs thus making a total of 20 different designs!
After trying one of the themes out, all i can say is they are totally cool with their professional design, clean layout and additional functionalities.
However with the advantages of these new blogger themes comes some disadvantages too although the cons are not so that bad. One of the cons is that the label widget doesn’t show by default like it does on the previous blogger themes when in cloud view.
But here on JustNaira, you will learn how to hack the widget and make it to show by default! In order to do this, you’ll need to edit the tag particularly for the Label widget in your theme HTML section.
NOTE: You should backup your theme before proceeding.
How To Make Label Widget Show By Default on Blogger New Themes
- Login to your Blog Dashboard and Click on Theme > Edit HTML
- Click on Jump to Widget > select your Label widget >
- At widget codes expand the variables and find below codes …
<details class='collapsible extendable'> <b:attr cond='data:view.isLabelSearch' name='open' value='open'/>
- Remove the codes in red color above and save your template!
- Now Click on Save Theme!
This should make your Label widget always shown by default!
