List of DSTV SMS Codes and USSD Commands For Nigeria

This post covers all the list of DSTV SMS codes as well as USSD Commands used for paying for subscription, checking balance, clearing error, checking due date, and confirmation of accounts. In the past, there were no codes for DSTV users and as you will expect, it was much difficult handling even the simplest of issues but Dstv sms service code was introduced to ease things up and help them do more in less time.
DSTV (Digital Satellite Television) is MultiChoice’s digital satellite TV service in Sub-Saharan Africa, launched in 1995, providing various bouquets offering general entertainment, movies, lifestyle & culture, sport, documentaries, news & commerce, children, music, religion and consumer channels to MultiChoice subscribers. DStv has around 8 million subscribers,[1] with the majority being in South Africa and Nigeria. These two markets are considered to be the most important markets for DStv, although markets such as Kenya, Ghana, Angola, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Mauritius and Tanzania, though not having as many subscribers, are also a focus point for DStv.
Advancement in technology has made many things more easier including cable TV subscriptions and management. DSTV uses a Smartcard which is more like the ATM that Banks give to you.
Similarly, the DSTV Smartcards have some digits which is unique to them, also like those on your ATM card. These random digits is your “unique identifier” and will help you with most processes involving the use of your DSTV decoder.
